Merry Christmas to you and the de Elbas, my dear!

Christmas is in full swing now on your side of the globe, whereas here we're frantically packing and loading the car and getting ready for the Christmas Eve service at church... :-) Hope you've been having a wonderful holiday!

One of my favourite Christmas songs of all time, although I've never been able to understand the words that are being sung. Thanks for not spoiling that record!

i love you. i just do.

i don't remember why i found you, but i've just come out of a long-ish stint on a locked ward and they just let me out in time for chirstmas (isn't that sweet?) and i could really use a laugh and i'm sick to death of all those mommy blogs and gratitude blogs and family blogs and church blogs and blog blogs where everything is all so nice and perfect or else there's a lot of whining or else a lot of link whoring or else they just have no fashion sense or play a lot of autoplay midi files or spend their time making faint cooing sounds over this moth's internet meme and it's just nice to read someone with an authentic voice, a real sense of humor and the ability to string together a sentence so it doesn't leak all over the floor or cause my cerebrospinal fluid to boil over and leak onto my carpet.

if you like, until 6 january, you may go to this temporary website and listen to some of my arrangements of traditional Christmas tunes. they are admittedly northen hemispehere biased, but i like them and they're my arrangements, so i get to choose. plus i live at nearly 45 degrees north, so that's the way i live.

red dust and sparrows under the eaves and all that, but over here we're bracing ourselves for another big snow.

merry Christmas.
