Security

A long time ago, our automatic garage door was broken. By one who shall remain namless. And the thing has remained un-fixed for financial reasons, and the slight possibility that we may build in our garage into a bedroom and a games room at some point in the next decade.

So what have we done about it?

Minimum Security: a broken tile.

Medium Security: a screwdriver.

Maximum Security: two screwdrivers.

I hate that we're so hopeless.

That is too funny. My vote is for a new plan if possible ;)

We've been through Garage Door Drama before--one time the chain that powers the thing got stuck, and then the lights went out and...well, it's a long, long story! I'm off now to Blog Around the World--come visit soon to see how you can go, too!

Well I have to say your garage security is far better than ours!

I think that the security arrangements are fine from a security perspective, but would be irritating from am 'I just want to nip down to the shop' perspective.

I'm all for the games room option, but wouldn't it be nice to have the magic button back?

Why are all house related items so expensive?

You are cracking me up!

Now if you look at the same area where you have your screwdrivers at on your garage, on mine you would see mouse traps on the floor. I hatge that garages have those gaps that let the rodents in! UGH, I always catch a ton of mice.

We've been the proud owners of an automatic garage door for two months, and twice so far we've had to dive out of the way as a child activated the door to close on a parent.

And the other day I had driven halfway out and it was closing when I had to stop or run over the postman who was IN MY DRIVEWAY and the garage door nearly shut on the car.

How long do you think it will be before we're fixing it with screwdrivers?
