I have never heard that sentence before

Today I went to a linen party and heard a sentence I've never heard before.

"This is our 'Hudson' and it comes in a taupe."

I had to restrain myself from laughing because it struck me that you would NEVER hear this sentence anywhere else.

Not in a boardroom.

Not in a speech therapy session.

Not in a playgound.

Not in a conversation at a bus stop.

It cracks me up. Anytime I need a smile, I'll just think to myself, "This is our Hudson and it comes in a taupe."

But anytime I want to laugh out loud, I think of the word "Dogsicles."

Lolol! Yes that is quite an original saying! I can't think of any examples but as a Mom, I find myself saying the strangest things that make absoluetly no sense!!

Thanks for the info on statcounter!! I added it ;) Now we will see what wacky google searches bring one to my site!

Is the "Hudson" like their Cadillac of sheets? And why does it only come in taupe? Are those party ladies brainwashed to make up stupid sentences?

Thanks for the Love on the dogsicles. Pretty much anything around here that is frozen that he refuses to let us cook before he eats it, is a ___sicle! But dogsicle is definitely the funniest one so far!

What is a 'Hudson' and why on earth have you allowed yourself to be sucked in to more party-plan selling parties? Jen.

The word "jalopy" used to do it for me, but it wore off a long time ago.

I also want to know, what is a Hudson? Is that why the comment was so funny?

A "Hudson" was, I think, a set of sheets. I don't remember ANYTHING about the Hudson, except of course that it "coms in a taupe".
